 Preparations for the 2009 World OutGames in Copenhagen are well under way. The Gay and Lesbian International Sports Association (GLISA) is actively planning the 2nd World Out Games. This event brings together thousands of athletes from around the world in for a week of competition, camaraderie, and fun. If you participated in the First World OutGames in Montreal in 2006, or in any of the Gay Games in the past, you know how much fun this tournament can be.
AustinGaySports.com would like to get a team of Austinites together to travel to Copenhagen in 2009 and show them how we play down in the Lone Star State. This is a great chance for members of the sports community to come together and cheer each other on as members compete in their own sports.
The 2nd World Out Games 2009 organizers have determined which sports will be on their schedule. If you think you would like to compete in any of these, start thinking about registering and joining AGS's "Team ATX" for the 2009 OutGames!

Welcome to the new home for gay sports in Austin!
As you can probably tell, this site is very new and has yet to be completely developed, however, this is a work in progress and we are looking to you, the Austin sports community, to help make this THE definitive resources for gay sports information in Austin.
Want to know how you can help? There are a number of ways:
- Help us find gay and lesbian sports groups around town. We're always trying to add more sports groups together to make this site shine.
- Are you a member of a sports organization? Help keep this site up to date by providing information that can be posted on this site and accessed by the general population. Keeping up with all the sports activities in Austin is way too much for one person to handle.
- Got an idea that will make this site even better? Contact us and we'll take your suggestions into consideration as we expand and add more and more functions.
In addition to being a resource for others, this site wouldn't be complete without YOU. Registration pages will be open shortly for new members. This is a spot for you to list any sports related information you want. It will also let you post pictures of you, your team, or whatever else you might want. User profiles are yours to do with as you wish. You will also be able to search through profiles to find people to play with!
This isn't your everyday website because Austin isn't your everyday city.
